The Alchemist
All collectionsIn The Alchemist, transformation is both a subject and a physical undertaking. Crushed marble and polymers form reliefs that are scraped, chipped and carved before paint is applied. Figures, inscriptions and abstract passages move across these heavily worked surfaces, joining the weight of matter to the fluidity of gesture. The paintings retain the labor and duration of their making, turning an alchemical idea into an encounter with material change.
